GPS is the new millennium navigation
system, but we know that most people are rather wary of investing
in these new gizmos. After all your comments on GPS and 'Map
& Compass' navigation David got down to compiling the
definitive 'GPS-The Easy Way' to explain how to get the
best from your GPS in UK and Europe.
Since 2003 thousands of UK
walkers have enjoyed learning gps navigation through using this
little book. Now David has updated Britain's favourite
gps manual for 2006.
OS maps are used for the practical examples that will take you
from 'novice' to 'GPS Accomplished' and on to 'GPS Advanced Use';
the first book explaining GPS in UK terms and using your local
maps; even OS are impressed by 'GPS-The
Easy Way'.
"A
Compass points North"
but
"A GPS tells you where you are, where you have been,
and can show you where you want to go."
If
you are wondering what GPS is, or thinking of buying a GPS, or
perhaps you have a GPS but are unsure how to use it, then 'GPS-The
Easy Way' is the book you should read. We've nothing against
traditional 'Map & Compass' navigation in the same way we
have nothing against Morse Code, but just as the Satellite Phone
has replaced Morse Code so GPS is replacing 'Map & Compass'
navigation. Of course you don't need a GPS to enjoy DWG's
detailed walk descriptions, but you will find that the GPS
Waypoints included in all our new titles can be very helpful for
telling you when you get to a key point for navigating the route.
Priced at £4.99 'GPS-The Easy Way' won't put
a dent in your pocket money. A small price to pay for discovering
just what GPS is and what it can do for you. see Personal Navigator Files (PNFs)

Client Comment from Jenkin D 27.03.2007
"Excellent collection of walking books- especially useful for people with GPS
and PNFs.
Having access to a GPS and PNFs for particular walks, we can now safely
undertake walks which we would otherwise only have done with a guide.
We currently undertake holidays to areas where the books and PNFs are already
available for.
Yours sincerely J.D
